Bright Ruby color with aromas of red berry fruits and floral notes, from 50-year old vines planted over granite, undergo long maceration period. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with spice, licorice and perfumed floral notes. Fine chewy tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, floral spice and slight earthy character.

Angular, lean, deeply mineral, all skeleton. Tannins are firm, fine, persistent, love the length and drying finish this has. Rustic, earthy, VA present but lifting. Very tense. Great value.

This wine is like sending yourself flowers and including a secret admirer card and giggling about it but then realizing maybe you have done some admirable things in the past and maybe, just maybe, you do admire yourself in a secret humble way. š¹š¹š¹

A more elegant and approachable Nebbiolo than Iām used to but just a perfect all around Red to pair with a meal from start to finish.

Not a great showing from a producer that I generally really respect and enjoy. Feels like typical nebbiolo given the color, but this wine gives very little on the palate. Quite muddled with medicinal green tannin notes that overwhelm the strawberry and other fruit notes that should come through.

Unique Nebbiolo flavor with slightly lighter color density. Still presents with classic tar and dried herb aromas, but with more pronounced ripe red fruits compared to its local Nebbiolo cousins. Tannins are still firm but more velvety with good acid structure. Alcohol is noticeably lighter for the varietal making it perhaps too easy to drink!
