Really ripe but not overpowerful and concentrated on the palate like the red rooster. Dried cherry and stewed plum on the nose, with raspberry, herbs, pepper, and some mocha on the palate. Surprisingly balanced for being 15.1%.. Nice Zin from a fantastic winemaker - VML

Abundant red and dark fruits in a very fruit forward style with showy cherry, dried cherry, dark raspberry. Noticeable smokey and peppery character throughout bouquet and palate with some vanilla and toasty oak on the finish. Full bodied Zin with a low to medium acidity level and ripe tannins.

Paired well with a pork tenderloin. Definitely fruity forward, with candied cherries, red licorice. Also getting grilled meat notes but that may be remnants from dinner. Clean, medium finish. Very drinkable.
