Clos de la Fontaine Monopole Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir

Smokey, meaty and rich. Really fine mineral, savory and balanced. Great young burg.

Can't get enough of A.F.Gros, even the '13's are singing, this '12 has many amazing years of greatness ahead of it, so expressive.

2012.

Great nose and balance.

Quite forward and pretty. Lacks a bit of stuffing for a VR lieux dit however. Drink over the short term.

Densely packed ripe berries. Needed a good 20+ mins in the glass to open up. Smooth tannins on the palate but a fairly serious pinot on the whole.

Labo members gave me back in June. Earthy baked brick nose that belies clear garnet color. Velvet soft tannins.

Dark and savory. Good bottle age.

Exceptionally elegant.

On the nose, meaty and smoky berries, some spice. In the mouth, expansive spicy red fruit with bright acidity and smooth tannins. Extremely smooth and well made, and also far FAR too young. Clearly a Vosne.
