Zeltinger Schlossberg Spätlese Trocken Riesling

Sure it’s passé, but still great w/ drunken noodles. Delicate wine and I like it more than I thought I would.

This was my favorite wine of the flight intense peach roll up spice ever so slight kerosene great complexity amazing sugar acid balance -love to try this with food

Normally I am a humongous fan of Selbach, this smelled like a botritised dessert wine but was lacking the precision laser beam killer acidity I expected. My first spatlese trocken- wacky wild stuff. Obvs German ringer in the Riesling lineup the other night

Reductive.

Fam ended up sitting for 5 dogs this wknd; managed to break up a downhill dog fight w/o spilling this beaut. #priorities

Great purity of fruit (peach, apricot) with a dense, mineral core.

Tropical-ish, dense, but with plenty of cut

After traveling all day, this special occasion wine just found its occasion.

So damned good. Gabe questioned and this proved.

Alive and well taking a long break from the life of regularly studying/frequent wine tasting... it almost doesn't matter who makes wine in this vineyard, it's going to be exceptional
