2008, nice wine for $31. Picked up the last 7 bottles in the warehouse. Extreme funk on the nose, (smoke?) but not reductive. Maybe corky, maybe a stemmy greenness...the fruit, raspberry and blackberry definitely comes through the longer it is open and integrates with the smoke. It really reminds me of an 01 DDO we opened recently

Full and beautiful, and excellent accompaniment to cheese and charcuterie. Earthy, dark cherry nose whose mouth was equally developed. Pleasing acidity and opened well. Excellent.
