The 2018 Barbaresco Ronchi is another gorgeous wine in this lineup from Rocca. As always, the Ronchi is a Barbaresco of breadth and power. In 2018, those qualities are expressed in a decidedly understated manner. Wild cherry, plum, sage, tobacco and menthol are all kicked up in this super-expressive Barbaresco. Hints of orange peel, spice, star anise and sweet pipe tobacco grace the layered, exquisite finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2022)

Vintage 2018 | Beautiful Nebbiolo with the smell of roses snd strawberry, impression of leather, frivolous, much potential

Honestly, a little disappointing. I expected more.

Slow to unravel, and while very young, it's still impressive. Kirsch, blood orange, aspirin, lavender, grated nutmeg.

2014 wasn't exactly a brilliant year for barbaresco. Medium bodied with some complexity that's a good wine with ragout. Currants and chocolate, cherry tomatoes, floral petals and a eucalyptus finish.

Interesting aromatics--black licorice infused cherry. Super tart and dry as expected given it's youth. Would love to fast forward this a decade.

A deep purplish red, opaque, slightly orange rim. Light cherry nose and palate, some waxiness, and a hint of mustiness. Quite balanced with low acidity, medium+ tannins. Approachable, ready, but not lengthy. Paired great with veal in red sauce. I would everyone within range to come to CuVino and checkout @Ralph DiBiasi stellar Italian wine list!
