Wanted to drink a Brunello with dinner on the sidewalk at @oliveto_oakland, so snagged the last bottle of this off the list. Took a little while to open up but eventually offered flavors of black cherry and cedar and leather mixed with a touch of dark earth. On the darker side, with tight slightly impenetrable tannins. Decent acidity. If I had bottles of this in my cellar I might wait another 5 years or so.

Very earthy wine with tastes of prunes / dried fruits. Needed to breath extensively.

Dried prunes with dusty earth undertones. Bright acid on the palate with dark black cherries.

Drier than expected. A passable Brunello but well below the better ones. Got this at Trader Joe's for about $20. There are better wines out there at the same price point.

Dusty black fruit, cinnamon, and heat on the nose (only 14% abv). Strong tannins - blackberry, plum, sage and cedar on the palate.

Solid but for a Brunello under 40 bones, but needs a bit of bottle time.

Never had this producer. Expectations weren't very high. Lacks the depth and structure of classic Brunello, but as a $20 Tuscan Sangiovese that aged well, I'm happy.
