Expected purple-black without variance. Ripe plums and rich prunes dance the dance of dawn and dusk. Dried blackberry and red currant trace their steps. Clean waters flow and blueberry and elderberry emerge. Even bacon fat. This is plump Bordeaux. Graphite washes thinly, revealing black currant and lingonberry fleetingly before settling on dried lavender and dried mallow blossom and briny violet. True to the rue. Tart cherries peek through windows in the rain-slicked, cobbled alley. Cranberry skin. #Bordeaux #chateauFéretLambert #Grézillac #BordeauxRouge #FrenchWine #wine #redwine #bordeauxsupérieur #merlotblend

Fruitier cherry for this earthy Bordeaux. Maintains true to terroir while speaking to the American palate.

Dark purple color. Aromas of black fruit and spice. Palate displays blackberry and plum flavors with earthy spice. Firm tannins, with earthy notes on a medium finish ending with flinty tones. Easy drinking not that complex. Drink now!

I had another one of these $11 bottles hanging around in my cellar so I decided to give it a try. To my surprise this was very good. When it was released it did get a 90 rating and the wine held up well. Very nice dark almost purple red. Aromas of sweet dark berry fruits with a puff of spice. Blackberry and ripe cherry flavors, nice acidity on soft tannins. Lingering ending with some earthy sweet cacao tones. I wish I had a few more ‘09’s. Nice value! Enjoy now if you have a bottle.

If any of you are still traumatized by the ass beating that merlot took in "sideways", this is a wine that will make you change your mind. This is a Super right bank Bordeaux. Just a floral, ripe plummy explosion on the nose. The palette is surprisingly full being that it is 90% merlot. The tongue is smoky, earthy, blackberry goodness. A delight.

A smooth Bordeaux. Very pleasant and not as subtle as many from the region. Definitely the best Bordeaux I've had and I would bring as a gift. Should buy again. Had with cheese.
