Popped and poured. The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo “Maggiur” pours a pale garnet color with a watery rim and a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with moderate intensity redolent of tart red fruits: raspberries, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, dried roses, dried herbs (but not enough for you to go to Sangiovese), sandstone minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Full bodied. Alcohol is medium. Confirming the notes on the nose. Finish is medium+. An elegant, pretty expression of Nebbiolo. Really lovely. Drink now with some patience but this should drink well through 2028.

Drinks well above its category. Black fruit, fig, anise, camphor, black cherry, sweet spice. Has the Barbaresco finesse which makes sense considering a good portion of the vines fall within the commune.

Great, but really needs to be decanted before it opens up.

A nice depth of flavor for this young Langhe with a nice little spicy kick. It was nice.
