Outrageously loud nose. Green peppercorn, spicy beef jerky, powdered rock dust, tangy red berries behind all that. Balanced and full of flavor, there’s nice acidity lifting flavors of crushed rocky minerals. There is something like dried red berries - almost Christmas-spiced- that turn savory as the finish progresses. Tannins almost fully resolved and soft. Fascinating.

Brick red core with tawny rim. Very perfumed nose offering red fruits, lavender, and white pepper. Surprisingly light bodied, fruit forward, fresh, and food friendly coming in at only 11.7% ABV. Made from 100% Syrah whole cluster fermented with natural yeasts.

Like a cross between a fresh Bojo and a minerally Saint Joseph. Nose has equal parts hard cherry candy (the BoJo part) and loads of crushed granite and cracked black peppercorn(the St.-Jo part). Round-textured in the mouth at first, a bit of fine sandpapery tannin shows through in the finish. Very nice acids. Flavors are high-toned with crisp cherry and cracked stone. Medium bodied (12.5%).

The nose has improved with oddity..
this smells of those thick, pink, minty candies.

Still tar cranberry and tannic woodiness, looks like the original flavor profile has remained the same.
The oddest Cali Syrah I have ever had.

Smells of lingonberry jam.

Tart and tannic straight off, candied flavors, all fruit popsicles, dry skin tannins, peppery, with oaky acidity.
A bit disjointed, yet still good.

Like sticking your tongue into a pepper mill. Loads of fresh ground pepper, tart dark red fruit. Very food friendly wine.

This is the style of Syrah that I adore. Savory, meaty, incredible depth and gorgeous. Blind, I'd have thought this is old world. Stunning.

Haven’t tasted in a couple years, a definite and welcomed move to the savory side for me. Peppercorns, eucalyptus, fir, parsley. Fruit is tight, compacted and crunchy, tart blackberry and plum skin. A certain stoniness about it too. On the palate that crunchy fruit is up front, showing a darker expression than on the nose, mid-back palate are all umami and spice, finish a melange of cooling herbal notes. The acid is bright and hides those classic WC tannins a bit. Really digging how this is showing right now.
