Massive. Macerated maraschino cherries. Herbal-ish nose. Opens up beautifully. Longer finish as it opens. Not too cloying sweet. Just beautiful. Incredible depth.

Ruby with rose tint. Very inviting aromas of talcum and almonds. Intense flavor concentration. Sophisticated wine. Great. 2012 vintage.

I don’t have much experience with Amarone so I don’t know how characteristic this is. But it was very lush and big without being overly fruity or cloying. Hints of the raisin character with a solid finish. It did not seem like the 15.5% alcohol it says at all. Very nice . From Trader Joe’s .
