I am opening this tomorrow during my chat with Maria Teresa Mascarello at 11am NY time. I will update the note then. Details on Vinous for Zoom, or you can watch on YouTube. Hope everyone’s having a great night! 😊🍷😍🤩😱🤪 Update: terrific depth, resonance and character. Hard to find, but really delivers the goods. Super.

One of my favorite not too expensive Piedmont wines. Great purity of fruit and fabulous Nebbiolo character.

Decanted an re-tasted often over four hours. Never really opened. I heard rumors that this was once open and singing, but not now (to me). I hope all the hype of 2010 is true, because everything I've had is angular, simple and tannic, albeit floral. And yes, I know it's Nebbiolo, but this was like slamming against a brick wall. All the potential in the world, I guess, but not pleasant at the moment. I'll keep drinking the 2011 Barbera in the meantime.

Flowers, complex nose, more intense than powerful, long lasting 45+ seconds

This is an absolutely beautiful bottle, so young, but #2013 #nebbiolo #wine is shaping up to be a legendary and classic #vintage Bravo #bartolomascarello in #barolo
