Lovely nose balanced between horse, natural funk and sweet cherry fruit. The paint varnish is strong on this. Wow. Been while since i’ve smelled that. Palate is juicy and elegant and even pure but spritzy as well. Good balance and freshness but the style here is hard for me.

8.8 to 8.3. It’s amazing people like this. I’m sorry this is vomit. Why ruin perfectly good fruit for some lame ass ideology? It’s obvious the fruit is top class and then wrecked in the cellar.

Yum! As usual, superb. Saliva-inducing red. Sarsaparilla, cardamon, earth, rhubarb, juicy red berries, olives, brine. My only issue with this wine is that it won't last till day three - overnight and you can start tasting the "beany" element.

After hearing a lot about bottle variation I was a bit scared to open this. Once the reductive notes blew off, it was really quite good and multifaceted! Delicate and juicy. Black cherries, raspberries, oregano, white pepper, chili, celery salt, dry crumbling rocks.

Such a great blend of bright fruit and funky earth. Big fan. All pieces in their respective places.

Pure, dense, hulking, but kind of a mouse trap.

Copper colored, tart, slight peppery, faded red fruit, though reasonably complex on the finish. Tastes like it is five years old, yet it is but two.

As expected, not as elegant as the '11 Metras Fluerie. But this bottle also showed a cloudy quality that slightly blunted the focus.

Initial thoughts on opening was tons of spicy green herbs. After an hr or so the dark berry fruit explodes. Something I didn’t expect. Give it some air or some age if green isn’t your thing.
