Character Medium Dry Amontillado Sherry

Character is an amontillado sherry made off dry by the addition of Pedro Ximénez. It shows a bright golden amber in the glass. At once saline and sweet, the bouquet includes date, sultana, salted caramel, nut shells and maple syrup. The interplay of sweet and savory is divine. Nearly dry and pillowy in texture, the soft palate is cut by zesty citrus notes and heaps of walnut character. Intense mushroom sprouts along the endless finish while a salty tinge lingers on the throat. Incredible value for $12.

Caramel, hazelnut, medium sweetness, good acidity with some salinity on the finish. Nice Amontillado.

The perfect wine with peanuts. I think it would pair nicely with chocolate as well.

A little more syrupy then I expected. Maple, hazelnut, raw vanilla, and a slight cream to it

So good! It's what turned me on to sherry. Smokey caramel with a light acidity.

Medium dry Sherry. Afternoon sipping Sherry.

Semi sweet, strong caramel flavor. Great match to smoked fish
