An oustanding value as always, the M. Chapoutier Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Côtes du Rousillon Blanc 2015 is an inviting blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeu. The nose fills the bowl of the glass with d'Anjou pear, yellow apple, and flirts with quince aromas. The attack is round and silky, with orchard fruit anchored in moderate acidity and, there is just a touch of minerality and lemon zest showing through—like the edge of a slip—along with this wine's granitic and limestone origins. A nice effort. 8.9 Points

Nose a bit subdued in the fruit department, some heat and vanilla bean. Rustic tannin sweet and sour, dry black, purple and red hues. Earthy. Edgy.
