Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Showing black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, herbs, tobacco, graphite, dark coffee and dark chocolates.
Medium minus in length on the finish, with grippy tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 7 year old Merlot blend from Bordeaux is showing nice complexity now, although still very young.
I gave it 2 hours of airtime, but it was clearly not enough.

Still very young and tight. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. I had the 2012 a few years ago, and it was much more approachable.
A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels (35% new).
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Blend of 75% Merlot & 25% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dense rich fruit aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry and blueberry flavors with floral spice cedar notes. Fine integrated tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and woodsy mushroom notes, will age for another decade.

Perfume nose with berries and flowers. Round and full on palate but we'll balanced with oak and tannins. "first love" - is an accurate to put it

On the palate concentrated fruit flavors of black cherry and jammy plums with currants, tobacco, cacao wrapped in toasty oak, powerhouse blend with smooth ripe chewy tannins, well balanced. Long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy notes. Very well done, but needs a bit more time!

A surprise. Still youthful though I think the great storage this bottle experienced explains it. Was fun to pass it around for some many to taste at the Paso Wine Speak BYOB event.

Ripe & juicy blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, cherries, black cherry liqueur, soft leather, dark dry black earth, lead pencil shavings. Nice acidity & integration already but should really shine in another 8-10 years.

Blend of Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv. Smells earthy, with chocolate and cassis. Higher in tannins than expected. Notes of black raspberry, stewed plums and liquorice.
