"Odedi"

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Strong fruity nose with black currants, cherries, blackberries, wood, vanilla, smoke, spices, chocolates, peppermint, coffee, beef jerky, peppercorn, cloves and earth.

Medium plus in body and spicy, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, licorice, dried figs, cloves, earth, vanilla, wood, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, peppercorn, spices and vegetables.

Medium plus in finish with firm, angular tannins and black pepper.
This organic Petite Sirah from Mendocino County, is simple and enjoyable, with a big mouthfeel. A little bitter on the ending, though.

Not fully balanced yet, and needs one additional year in the bottle to calm down.

Good right out of the bottle, but better after an hour in a decanter.

Needs foods like BBQ steaks to balance itself out.

13.8% alcohol by volume.
