Niersteiner Spiegelberg Kabinett Riesling

Off dry Riesling with good acidity. Dried apricot, yellow ripe peach, drained pineapple. Just with slightly gasoline note. Jasmine honey especially on the plate.

Bright clear pale straw in the glass. Powerfully fruity nose of Royal Anne cherries. Echoed on the rich palate with honey and bright acidity. A wee bit rich for Kabinett expectations (climate change). Helluva QPR on this wine. Surprising layers of complexity. A great aperitif or meal accompaniment. Should be interesting to see where this is in a few years.

Pineapple, white peach, subtle. $15. Improper glassware free pass.

Tasty quality riesling. Good QPR.

White peach. Red clay. Honeysuckle.

A little petrol, a little pear, a little dried fruit. Count me in. A (perceived) higher level of sweetness than most Kabinett I typically gravitate towards but with a spicy meal I’m all about this.
