Brut Millésimé Champagne

Settled and pretty. Nice fine acidity. Good fruit. Still fresh. Not deep in intensity, but clean and good.

Rustic, lots of tart apple, oxidative, a little cider vinegar note. Showing its age well. Nice.

One of those wines that trades on the beautiful combination of oxidative aromas and acid/verve in the palate

Degorged in 2012 - supers showing with the usual oxidation yet back to a floral ton. Sugars present but perfectly integrated

The nose is quiet, withdrawn. Shrimp shell and dried cherry and rosemary-- very 21st century Scandinavian.
Compact and dense in the mouth, with a bridge's substructure of elaborate acidity. More subtlety: yeast and tide pool, return of cherry. Sits and radiates.

This exquisite gem represents an impressive collaboration between nature and vigneron. The yeasty and pomaceous aromatics will seduce you. But its defiance is what makes you fall in love. Strikingly competitive flavors and textures somehow harmonize and unify to create a focused yet expansive experience that I can only describe as sublime. And like nascent love, it keeps you intrigued and wanting more.

Disgorged April 2015. Very nice Champagne. Judicious use of oak and oxidation. Floral and tart, with crisp Chardonnay came through at first, followed by ripe red fruit once the bottle warmed up a bit. Dosage noticeable, but not muddling the focus.

Remarkably penetrating and in a way that moves through the senses but wins them over in firm flexing mineral appeal -a wine that reverberates and leaves one trembling.

Chalky with hints of fresh lime zest.

Beautiful, rich oxidative character yet fresh and floral. Super lively.
