inky dark purple, long finish with dark cherry and plum taste

So we are a day behind schedule for #DDTC this week. Having both had a nice steak dinner, I thought let's try something fun and red. So down I went and I dug out this Callabriga Dao from 2008. The wine is still almost an inky dark red purple colour. The nose quickly hints of the fun to come. @Heather Leatham said it smelled of cheese, in a good way. :) my first taste was very enjoyable with lots of fruits and some tannins. Looking forward to it opening up over the next hour or so.

Full bodied, dark fruits, balanced - drinking well on own or paired with cheeses/meats. Good value at $13. #portugal #callabriga #wine
