Cru Bourgeois Château Clément Saint-Jean Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

Is your tobacco aging barn getting a new asphalt shingle roof? I know about it from the smell down the street.

Bright ruby, garnet tone. Medium minus concentration and staining. Pyrazine, lifted plum, little/neutral oak. Some stone characters. Medium minus acidity, tannin, and body. (60% Merlot, 40% Cab)

Nose is not particularly strong but there is some nice dark fruit at the initial taste and some good minerality in the finish but overall fairly flat

2010, Chateau Clement Saint-Jean , Medoc. Excellent Cru Bourgeois. Has good potential for aging, prominent tannins . Black fruit, cedar, chalk are all there. Went back for more but sold out.

Full of vanilla and ripe and under ripe red/black fruit. Lost everything and the structure became very disjointed after an hour #bordeaux #medoc

I just recently purchased this Bordeaux knowing that it is a lesser Bordeaux and just to try the 2011 vintage. I purchased as an end of bin sale for $9.99. It has lived up to that price tag. On the nose I get black cherry, blackberry, black currant, and a definite campfire smokeyness. On my palate I can taste plum, blackberry, black currant, charcoal with firm drying tannins, weak acidity and medium finish.

Considering price ($11 at Costco), one of the best wines I've had recently. Smells like a $40 bottle and tastes like it too.

A hell of a deal! Bordeaux in character. Chile in price.

Really impressive. Nice berry-like flavors with espresso and cocoa notes. Better than you think - close your eyes and it's remarkably like a classed growth.

Tasting more floral and earth (rocky) over fruit, dry with slight bitterness at the end
