Floral nose thanks to the viognier, juicy red berries thanks to the mourvedre, hefty weight on the palate due to the syrah. A wonderfully unique and altogether great blend from one of the most underrated and exciting regions, given the price.

Excellent go to red for typical red wine red meat and strong flavored foods. Very tannic and strong taste.

Such a unique taste. Almost has the oaky tannins of a Cab, but it's quite smooth and balanced and perfectly fruity

The name "Boekenhoutskloof" pronounced, bok-un-hoatscloof comes fom the Cape beech, or Kaapse boekenhout, a tree indigenous to Franschhoek and once used by the Cape Dutch for furniture making. Deep red with fruit and spicy nose. Blackberry and blueberry flavors with sweet pepper spice with surprisingly soft tannins. Lingering with oak and spice ending. Nice value for this interesting wine.

Syrah funkiness + Cherries, spice, leather, medium bodied. Give me some mushroom & veggie pizza and a springtime bonfire.

Very tasty and fragrant red. You can taste the Syrah out of the gate but the blend grapes tend to balance it out. Some cinnamon spice with that Viognier nose. The best$11 win I've had this year

Lovely. Fruity with leathery undertones. Black fruit compote. Love this wine. Great for every day.
