Riserva Sergio Zenato Lugana Trebbiano

Started out very tropical pineapple and coconut in the mouth with not much of a nose. About 15 minutes after opening started to get a bit reduced, with cooked onion. Medium plus acidity.

Oh yeah. Age this thing a bit and thank me later. What a treat. Golden and mellow. Round and fluffy. Legit one of the most delicious whites I’ve ever had. And I’ve had this before. The age is the difference.

The history of Lugana dates back to 1993 when Sergio first understood the potential of the Trebbiano di Lugana grape. The Wine embodies his innovative and foresight spirit, as well as the courage to propose the Lugana in a renewed style. Golden yellow with aromas of exotic fruit and floral notes. Palate shows passion fruit, savory full-bodied, lively acidity and mineral tones on a lingering finish.

Rich but not heavy. Lovely ripe tropical and citrus notes with sweet baking spice along with bright acidity, plus a hint of a very Italian bitter note at the end. I could mistake this for good Burgundy

A bit Burgundian - unsurprising as its aged in FO.

Solid. Solid. Solid. So good. I don't even want to start naming things it tastes like. It's just a really really good white.
