Hot garbage nose. Cloying, over extracted, hot and sweet. This is Lodi zin at its worst. Gross and certainly not worth $15+

Not too sweet but it wraps your tongue in a warm hug.

Needs time to breath. Big , bold , spicy. Lacking complexity and finesse. It's a boxing match with mike Tyson .

This tends to be among the best of the slightly sweet Lodi Zins. It is restrained in its jamminess and, while big, not full of port-level ABV. The flavors are blackberry and raspberry but the acidity is more balanced than most. I would recommend pairing with a spicy or peppery steak dinner, not so much as a cocktail wine.

Juicy and raisinated cassis, strawberry, currants, and cherries. Licorice, anise, hints of black pepper, little oak or earth. Apricot and peach. Full throttle. Medium (minus) acidity, and sweet tannins. A lot of residual sugar.

38th Anniversary and one of our favorite wines. Very smooth with great fruit notes and a nice finish.
