Wow. A really fruity and expressive nose. Lime, quince, pear, chalk. Poised and fresh and vivid with perfect balance and a long pure finish. A touch of salinity. Excellent

Clearly that awful picture was taken late into the evening. Aromas that remind you of an ocean breeze. The palate filled with citrus and fruit , so perfectly in balanced. I have no doubt it will continue to age and probably gain greater complexity. This bottle was bought on release and lived in proper storage until it’s demise.

Very Raveneau. Slightly reticent. Classy but not profound

Still tighter than a glove, broad and lush on the palate. Pretty fantastic

Opened after an 05 Forets was found to be corked. 3 hours in a decanter. Light straw gold and youthful in the glass. Medium weight. Nice nose. Notes of citrus, white clay, tan spice, some light apricot, some river stones and some sea breeze. Rich and full of energy in the mouth. This is good now but still early in its life.

Light straw gold, light on its feet. Fruit forward nose. Notes of apricot, white clay stone, sea breeze, tan spice, a little honey and some river stone. Rich and powerful in the mouth. The weight and impact grows with 4-5 hours of air in the decanter. Great showing.

Limpid oyster shells and steely fruit. Quite hauntingly delicate on the nose with a lovely saline savory midpalate. Really poised and delicious. Excellent.

Fresh and light. Lifted oyster shells, salinity, white flowers, hints of lime and limestone on the nose. A beautifully balanced palate. Very precise and transparent. Good structure and delicious cool fruit. Classic Raveneau

Straw gold. Nice color and weight. Fruity nose. Notes of sweet citrus fruit, some vanilla, wet stone, some subtle spice and a touch of honey. Great mouth feel and light acidity. Gave it 7 hours of air. At open it was very primary, not interesting and a simple Chardonnay. After sitting all day it became very interesting. These young Rav bottles need time and/or air to show their stuff.
