A dark purple, the '10 Tobin James Syrah 'Rock-n-Roll' exhibits a lovely nose of dark red and black fruits, some road tar and oak. More black fruit on the palate with pepper and cedar notes. While amply endowed, it is somewhat lacking in complexity and finishes with modest length.

It’s quite sweet, and I’m more preferential to mineral…. Having said that, once I get past the jammy aftertaste, there is some spice and pepper to redeem it. A bit of leather on the nose.

Wonderful Syrah from Paso Robles. Full bodied but also fruity. Rich with strong character. Plumb and berries on mouth. Great with Mediterranean food of Prawns in garlic sauce at Gorgeous George in Seattle. Great place.

Surprised me. Black currant up front but better balanced than expected, not overwhelmingly fruity. Tasty casual wine and good bargain.
