Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Not a good vintage, but according to the experts it's ready. After it opened up, it was great.

This 2015 fruit has past it’s peak. Still enjoyable but drink these if you have them.

2015 is magical.

Tasted ‘05 again. 100% Sangiovese, aged in oak for 2 years, Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black & red fruits with sweet spice. On the palate, this full-bodied wine had medium acidity, very smooth tannins showing ripe fruit flavors of cherry and raspberry with cacao, cedar spice complex yet not overpowering as flavors emerge to a long pleasant finish ending with mineral and earthy notes. This is Top Flight! Wow! Aged well!

A very nice, somewhat glossy example of BdM. Cherries, dried herbs, black tea. Certainly hits the spot and unmistakably Brunello.

Vintage 2004 - true to type #brunellodimontalcino with spicyness, cedar, power and refinement. Partnered with risotto with truffles, a combination that is as simple as brilliant

Drink now, it's still a beauty of a wine but I think it's a bit past it's peak.
