2001 vintage - was very fruity at release, but at age 14 this wine is singing. Still a dark garnet color, turning to brick on the meniscus. Flavors are dominated by leather and barnyard with traces traces of plum and maybe some dried violets. Tannins are still present but very soft. Long finish.
