Fresh plum, dried rose petals and subtle notes of dill and vanilla from American oak. Medium+ body and vibrant red fruit on the palate. Medium tannins, elegant finish. 2010 is still quite youthful and should cellar another 5+ years.

Welcome to the weekend and I have opened tonight the 2005 Ontañón Rioja Reserva, 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano.

On the nose there is cherry, plum, raspberry, licorice, spice, vanilla, rich oak and an eartiness.

On the palate there is good red fruit, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, plum, a vegital/herbal thing going on, vanilla and toasty oak.

The wine is medium full bodied, well balanced with medium acidity and medium smooth tannins that progress into a medium to long finish. Let's all have a great weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
