Ruby in color with a wide brick/ orange rim.

Fruity nose of cherries, ripen strawberries, light wood, vinaigrette, dark coffee, earth, forest floor, spices, black pepper and tobacco leaf. Nice nose.

Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, currants, barnyard, vegetables, dark chocolates, diet cola, earth, leather, tobacco leaf, spices, wood, light cloves, herbs and peppercorn.

Nice tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 14 year old Chianti Classico is still drinking very nicely. Nicely balanced with a nice soft mouthfeel.

A good food wine and even good by itself. Need is an hour of airtime to open up.

Paired very nicely with the double cream Brie cheese.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Drank 3/17/20. Ok with pizza

Nose of red cherry, tomato leaf, as well as leather and earth, which emerge after a bit of coaxing. Flavors are somewhat reserved with black cherry, tar, and some herbal notes. The finish is dominated by sour cherry and drying tannins.

This may need a couple of years to come together.

Drank 12/18/18. Nice pairing with Rigatoni Bolognese. A versatile red that would pair with a variety of Italian fare.

Red cherry, earth, and leather on the nose. Flavors of bright, red cherry, wood, and earth backed by medium tannins that support the medium body. Long finish.

Good, but not my style of Chianti. Nose has menthol, cedar, minerals, and dark berries and leather. A bit hot and dark-toned on the palate for me. I generally like more tension, focus, and zingy hightoned cherry.

Wild fennel leaves, sour cherry, dried herbs, cola, and minerality. Light on its feet, in a great way. Perfect for some homemade Tuesday night pasta.

Fantastic value! Lovely sour cherries, orange peel, well proportioned tannins, slight earthy note and zesty acidity.

Brilliant garnet-esque ruby. Bright cherry and faint notes of tobacco on the nose and palate. Medium plus acidity and medium tannins. Lengthy finish. Great QPR, though I prefer Riserva.
