I don’t drink many purple wines these days in fact if any, but this was a gift from a colleague & supervisee so I felt a certain obligation. Not a bad one: new oak obvious, still has some lift and floral notes through that blueberry/ blueberry pie palate. You could do a lot worse, and Frederick Wildman thought enough of it to import. Still, caveat is that not my taste but some may be wild over it ( a 92 from J Suckling?! My lord, he does score high).

Ripe blackberries, spice, musk, smoke, vanilla. Buttery mouthfeel. Tannins and Acidity to match. Decent drinking. Carafe it though. Solid with red meats.

Deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, pepper spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of plum and blackberry with licorice, black pepper and toasty oak. Fine grainy tannins, lively acidity, medium(+) finish ending with fruit, oak and savory spice. Nice value!

Довольно агрессивное начало. Вяжущие танины, черноплодка, черный перец - все такое выпирающее и алкогольное. Впрочем через некоторое время сменяется гладким вкусом чернослива, а потом и вовсе повидлом.

Better than expected. A bit jammy, but decent length and good acidity that was a great match for a simple ribeye.

Imported by Frederick Wildman. Soft-textured, medium weight, and elegantly styled. Fruit is rounded out by earth and spice notes. A fresh streak of acidity runs through the finish.
