Interesting and fun wine. Nose of red fruits, mint/menthol, and touch of cedar. Palate adds prunes, dried berries and a nice acidity. Tannins are completely resolved, and approach bare perception. Given the riper fruit notes, the lighter abv (13.5), make for a fascinating glass. Would like to taste this next to Monte Bello.

I was not on love with this wine. To me, a strange expression of Cabernet for one so young. Starting to show prune, figs & dates for a wine only 6 years old. Lean; prunes, blackberries, olives, green bean and light white pepper. Little in the way of earth or wood use. Not my glass of wine.

Black olive nose. Great acid structure with saline and intense blackberry jam on the palate. Superb.

Opaque. A tad over the hill. Paired better with short rib than by itself

Clear as a bell. Absolutely delicious. I’ve had several of these. Some bottle variation. This one is killer, even better than the 1996 it was up against

A wine that benefits from ageing and breathing. Great quality fruit but a little one dimensional. Saying that, it's drinking beautifully, smooth and velvety.
