Was shocked to see the blend at 80% Zin. Nicely done.

78% zin + syrah and mourvedre. The 15.8% is sneaky because there’s no heat on this and instead of the plush velvety blends that are more typical of Paso the zin adds brightness and keeps everything lifted. Overall it is reminiscent of a field blend from the North Coast. A hint of vanilla on the finish and the tannins are still a little bit prickly. This should be well rounded in just a couple more years.

Hedonistic Zin blend. Age has given it a nice savoriness.

This is what Paso is all about. Fusion of Rhone and the West with all the flavor both old and new worlds combined.

Young pure fruit and really in balance for a big LC wine. 15.5 ABV and not hit. Amazingly.
