The moment I laid eyes on the bottle I knew this was going to be special, after all 2016 was a great vintage.
A delightful burst of savoury dried and sour fruit flow from the bottle as I pull the cork free. Dark, elegant and floral.
Tastebuds could not wait to endulge themselves as my palate is encompassed in a velvet smooth layer of sour red cherry, raspberry, hints of dark berry, dark chocolate, pepper with dried rose petals and subtle toastiness. An inviting balance of tart fruit and tannins married wondefully with an enjoyable dry finish, leaving my tastebuds with a pleasant chewy character, craving more as the wine tapers off.

2013 vintage - slightly dirty but attractive nose - light in body but beautiful balance of fruit and tannin - worked perfectly with Involtini di Vitello alla Milanese

Red licorice, earth, dust. Intensely aromatic, rustic and slightly clumsy.

Red liquorice, red and black fruit, tobacco, dried flowers. Lots to enjoy and easy to approach.

A little thin on the palette. Pretty good acid, weak tannins. Not bad but not very exciting. From Provincetown liquor store.
