This is a special wine. Botrytis Cinerea (also known as Noble Rot) on grapes, a beneficial mold that evaporates moisture while concentrating the flavor in the berry, yielding very little juice. Aged 18 months in French oak, the wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewürztraminer. Aromas of rich ripe fruit and honey notes. On the palate, intense flavors of fig, w/citrus and honeysuckle, complex, well balanced. Lingering finish ending with honey tones. Wow! Pricey but worth it.

To celebrate our 2-yr wedding anniversary while in Alaska, we had 5-course dinner at one of the premier spots in the state, which just so happened to be at our resort (at the top of the mountain). A Wine Spectator recognized restaurant with an incredible wine list!

Didn't know Grgich made this late harvest wine. As a '12, you can imagine all of the flavors were full throttle...honey, caramel, lemon. Fairly light bodied, with a toasted vanilla bean finish.

Nice. Funky edge isn't as interesting as off-putting

Dark amber color with aromas of cartelized peaches and orang peel brown sugar a good bit of evolution but still has nice freshness and a long finish. Excellent
