Sipping Fine Wine

Last tried this about 2 years ago. Ruby, with some brown edges now showing, aromas of ripe dark fruits, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of ripe fruit of cherry and strawberry with notes of tobacco, cacao, toasty cedar and pepper notes. Balanced acidity, fine soft tannins with a warmth of alcohol present, ending with spice and toasty on the medium+ finish.

Powerful and complex. 100% Sangiovese. Plenty of life left.

Really well done, considering the vintage.

Rose, peppermint, orange peel, rosemary, thyme, pepper, violet, tomato, tart and juicy red cherry, and wet stone. As it evolves, more juicy raspberry, plum, blueberry, smoke, cedar, and minerality coming through. Bright ruby, moderate(-) concentration. Full body, elevated acidity, elevated grippy/chewy tannins, high alcohol. Long finish.

Incredibly long. A tannic monster, but some lovely violet, roses, tar, spice, and finally a bit of fruit. Terrific brunello that is drinking exceptionally well now.

Love this wine. Dried cherries, cola, purfumed flowers. Yum. Is still very young.

Gorgeous wine - holding myself from downing the entire bottle in one sitting.
