Really digging the Syrahs from Walla Walla recently. This is a well balanced wine, good fruit on the nose, blackberry compote, dark cherry. On the palette it is bold with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, smooth tannins, good minerality, earthy, spice, pepper, and medium acidity. This is really enjoyable now.

Love that co-ferment with the Viognier helps to elevate the acid and power of the Syrah, need a lamb lollipop

Welcome to Walla Walla... Waters 07 Forgotten Hills was a game changer wine for me. Loess is the Leonetti Estate, interesting. Woody. Wound up. Started to unwind, 9 years is probably the outter reaches, but it's still evolving.

Very dark opaque red wine. Blackberry lavender and thyme on the nose. Medium tannins along with thick rich mouth feel. I taste the fruit. I taste the spice. I don't know exactly what alluvial soil is, but I think I taste it! There is a smooth minerality to the finish. Food friendly wine. We are enjoying it with creamy potato soup spiced up with pepper flakes. I imagine it would be spectacular with burger or steak or lamb.

Opaque violet color in the glass with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and chocolate as well as hints of earth. Dense, juicy dark fruit on the palate but 4% Viognier co-ferment allows it to maintain freshness and acidity. It has opened up with the bottle age and is drinking nicely right now. Overall a very nice vineyard specific Walla Walla Syrah sitting more towards the fruity, Shiraz end of the spectrum rather than the gamey, meaty end.
