Albe Barolo Nebbiolo
Delicious. Medium bodied. Roses, tar, dried red fruits, berries, spicecake. Lovely tannin.
“Albe” means “dawns” in Italian as this wine is sourced from three high-elevation sites that experience several dawns. A killer value from this producer. Drink or hold.

May 8th, 2021Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits, floral and new leather notes. On the palate cherry and plum fruits with tobacco and pepper spice. Firm chewy tannins, savory on a medium+ finish ending with notes of oak, mineral and earthy character. Assessable for a ‘16, drinking well now and will benefit with some age.

Nov 4th, 2020Super young but alive and approachable. Brighter red fruit than I was expecting. Cut thru a steak dish beautifully @golaosteria in Ithaca

Tight and tannic, but still with plenty of expressiveness. Better in a few years, but still really nice now.
