Albe Barolo Nebbiolo

Delicious. Medium bodied. Roses, tar, dried red fruits, berries, spicecake. Lovely tannin.
“Albe” means “dawns” in Italian as this wine is sourced from three high-elevation sites that experience several dawns. A killer value from this producer. Drink or hold.

No formal notes...Best beef biased meal we've had...Ever.

tasted side by side with 2016, aromas are more lifted but more tight on palate. dried bing cherries, leather, firm- long tannins.

blend of communes, high elevation. boysenberry, firm and fruity juicy tannins, lighter on palate weight wise. lots of complexity. dusty tannins that open up. not grippy.

Really enjoyable now. Although a bit short and not the most complex.

Part 3. No notes. Fresh, can be drunk young

Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits, floral and new leather notes. On the palate cherry and plum fruits with tobacco and pepper spice. Firm chewy tannins, savory on a medium+ finish ending with notes of oak, mineral and earthy character. Assessable for a ‘16, drinking well now and will benefit with some age.

Super young but alive and approachable. Brighter red fruit than I was expecting. Cut thru a steak dish beautifully @golaosteria in Ithaca

Tight and tannic, but still with plenty of expressiveness. Better in a few years, but still really nice now.
