Silhouette 👤 Napa Chardonnay. 50% New French Oak for 18 months. A big Chardonnay, though balanced. Nice vanilla note.

Without looking at the lable I thought I was opening a Pinot Noir. I pulled the cork expecting a Pinot Noir again without looking at the cork. I started pouring and to my surprise this golden nectar started flowing from the bottle. I could tell right away my mistake and by the aroma knew it was a Chardonnay. I immediately spun the bottle to look at the lable and started laughing. Oops!

The nose reveals lemon meringue, lemon custard, ripe peach, pineapple, honeysuckle, caramelized sugar, almonds, coconut and wet flint rock.

Upon first sip there was a very nice smooth round silky texture, ripe lemon, tropical fruit, lemon zest, citrus notes, beeswax, toast, butter, creme brulee, praline and a nice minerality. A very balanced wine with nothing over powering the other.

There is a medium + acidity and a nice long smooth finish that pleases the senses.

A very nice Chardonnay that can be enjoyed alone or with a nice dinner. I recommend anytime.

My wife’s style, not buttery or oak-y.
