This is one of the best wines we have enjoyed with a bone in rib eye smoked over oak wood on my Primo smoker. I am getting rounded berries that stand proudly next to that steak. Some herbs, maybe sage, but it's hard to tell over the oaked smoked rib eye. All I can tell you is it was a great pairing! Enjoy this Sonoma treat!

@David L thank you so much for sharing this special bottle with Jennifer and I. I know the year was and will always be a special year. Pop and pour, all element are still in play. Fruit and tannins are very pronounced; yet sleek and built to be cellared for at least another 3-5 years. Still jammy, showing powerful ripe black fruits. Defined and structure core of roasted black raspberry. Dried sage and smoke round out a finish that builds for over 45 sec.

Black cherry, cocoa and baking spices. M acid, m+ body and tannin. Jammy. Good price point.

Deep red with bright aromas of ripe red fruit. The palate shows raspberry, cherry and plum flavors with notes of pepper and cinnamon spice. Round tannins, good balance give this wine complexity. The finish shows its power, lingering with some leather, oak and cacao tones.

Good fruit, easy to drink. A bit high on the alcohol, but it's not overwhelming.

Raspberry flavor definitely present. Fruit upfront, but slowly dissipates appropriately.

I usually like lighter reds but this surprised me positively. Balanced, slightly spicy and quite suave wine. We pared this with hard cheeses.
