Lots of cherry and black current. Soft tannins further softened with some age. Very drinkable.

Bell pepper nose. Light bodied but tight and too tannic for me.

Som recommended basic table wine. Soil, tobacco, wet stone. Paired surprisingly well with oysters. Wine stood well on its own but cab franc still just a blending grape in my book.

Medium bodied refined Chinon, only slightly green and accompanied by a whole cabinet of baking spices and some fresh berries and a mineral finish. Lithe and light for cab franc. Still a little tight on the palate, probably best to wait 5 years but showing well enough now, especially the beautiful aromatics. This is not lush cab franc but rather great to accompany more delicate dishes.

High on acid, needs to lay down, opened up to more typical rich franc notes.
