Transparent dark garnet. Inviting nose of black cherry and dried violets. Medium full palate echoes the nose adding a bit of dark raspberry and burnt marzipan. Medium acidity seems a bit low as do the medium tannins (was 2020 hot in Piemonte?), but still a very good wine for a meal. Not excited about what this portends for Barbaresco, though. Drink now through 2027.

Transparent garnet red. Inviting nose of black cherry and ashen violet. Well structured, full palate yields black cherry, violets, terra cotta, and soft anise. Firm, velvety tannins. Medium plus acidity. Excellent Nebbiolo with depth and structure enough to satisfy your Barolo cravings with the Tuesday night meal. Beef, pasta, rustic stews, and other hearty red wine fare will be just as at home as the take-out pizza. Drink now through 2027.

Very good, in an old school way. Needs 2 hours in a decanter to loosen up though

Pretty expression of vintage and varietally correct. Bright acid, red fruits, brambly herbal notes, ripe tannins. 13.5% ABV. Enjoyed w/ penne with cabbage and provolone picante from @frannysbk awesome cookbook. Glad to have more bottles.

Was not a big fan. Too much “bread” character. Lacked personality.

Really enjoyable but a bit too raw with intense tannins. Deep flavors of plum and dry leather come through, but are disjointed in a way that is typical of an immature wine. Aging for 5-10 years would tie the flavors together and turn this into a formidable Nebbiolo.

Great everyday Nebbiolo. Vibrant red fruit, spice, dirt, moderate acidity, solid tannins on the finish.

It is going to be so fun guzzling juice from all the major European wine regions concerning the '15 n '16 vintages! Producer after producer have succeeded even with their entry level wines

Case in point, this humble Nebbiolo from a fantastic casa drinks well above its weight. Classic cherry n menthol notes along with some melted licorice. Baking spices emerge after an hour of breathing time. I will be buying more!
