Ordered from Bottega list. Dark ruby. Almost opaque. Rich fruit nose. Strong. Notes of black cherry, intense cranberries, some tar and dark earth. Really big in the mouth. Drinkable now. Good showing.

Lovely medium-bodied wine, just beginning to open up to show cedar, lavender, violet, cherry and leather. Quite elegant and actually drinks lighter than it's 14.5% ABV would indicate. Silky texture, long finish - great finesse

Savory aromas of plums, raisins, balsamic, pencil lead, and tomato leaf. The palate develops with a mouth watering acidity and velvety tannins. Further developing flavors include tobacco, leather, and wet soil. Enjoyed with a spicy penne pasta with local mushrooms. All in all a lovely wine!

Shows the ripeness and muscularity of the vintage but still has all the wonderful freshness and depth that Le Macioche has. The wine is all class and bit of muscle as it is 2007. Big cherry fruit. Really big. Really cherry. Nose is super pungent and really chestnutty and leafy. So old school. Big structure and muscle with deep chery fruit that borders on black. Fresh if a bit of a big boy.
