A bit a funk off the nose, that subsides after 15 minutes in the glass.
Medium golden- yellow in color.
White stone fruit, grapefruit, mineral driven/high acidity. Simplistic aftertaste(Time)
It’s got another 10 years in it. There some great 2008’s, research before you buy. Carefully selecting. Edit - Back of the palate has opened up nicely. The acidity has mellowed out. Nice bottle of wine.

Drinking beautifully, rich but lively. Developing complexity of mushroom and Epoisses atop integrated oak, fennel, and baked apple

An attractive mature yellow with a thin rim; butter, a hint of marzipan, and varnished oak but a bit vague and unfocused; no bloody acidity at all. Just a badly made wine - how can you fail to appreciate the need for acidity in Puligny? Perhaps it was just the vogue of the time. In any case the result is that it tastes like apple juice blended with water, butter, and vodka. Not a wine I'll buy again.

Lovely young upper-slope Puligny. Expertly vinified and shows great terroir transparency. Good for now and later, plus the price point beats pretty much anything else you'll find in 1er cru Puligny or Meursault.

Oh so funky. Needs a day for the reduction-like stink to blow off, then it turns fun and bright. Great texture and balance.

Second serving….beautiful bright pear on the nose, classic white Burgh, another sipping wine though, overwhelmed by salami and perhaps cheese. Has a very interesting twist at the end. Sounds like a few years aging would help the complexity. KLWM wine
