Drank 7/8/19. Happy 3rd to My daughter!! Very nice with a T-bone. (She enjoyed pizza!)

Plums, earth, and graphite on the classic right bank nose. Flavors of plum, BlackBerry, and soggy earth mix with well integrated medium tannins. Medium + finish dominated by black fruit, tar, and earth. Drinking nicely now, but should hold for 3-5 years.

This is amazingly good for sub $30. Not for the cellar but super pleasing today. Clean and pure with ripe dark fruits. It scream merlot! Round and Supple. Starts off smelling very generic but 10 minutes in the glass reveals a whole lot of substance. Unbelievable value

A nice dinner compliment. Soft, yet packed a bit of punch.

French Bordeaux 2012. This is predominantly Merlot. Nice medium body wine. I prefer a little heavier Merlots but this went well with dinner.

Rich black plum, graphite, with a satisfyingly long finish.

100% merlot - espresso and mineral on the nose with black plum skin, black cherry, cassis. Full, ripe, well-balanced on palate. Tricked up both of my fellow somm-wanna-bes at our biweekly blind tasting. #sommstudy

Rich and exuberant, this is quite new world in style. Very good depth and length. It still needs another 5 years or so to fully develop, though i don’t think it will be as balanced and elegant as the ‘05.
Tremendous value for less than $30.

This 100% Merlot is a very consistent performer year in and year out. And the 2008 is no exception.
The nose opens with fresh red cherry, then turns to black plum, blueberry, subtle coconut, dried herbs, and iron. The palate is the smoothest yet compared to the previous 4 vintages, with fresh round acidity and silky tannins.
