This precocious rojado franc evokes memories of vintners of yore. It begins capriciously with marbled flavor facets. Later, it follows with oodles of black currant and elderberry. Finally, it mellows like a dachshund after a morning run and a bowl of breakfast. You will not be disappointed by this Lagarde production. Blessings to all.

Tannic and spicy with bold red fruits such as red currant and dark red plums. Excellent and will do well with aging and decanting.

A deep garnet color, with aromas of red currants, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, alcohol is medium, acidity is high, tannin is medium with a smooth finish. A little bit of residual sugar and a little bit of tobacco and anise on the finish. A beautifully blended and balanced wine. Overall very good, almost outstanding!

Bought at John’s for $15. Yummy, but not amazing. Solid wine though if I’m looking for something at John’s.

First experience with a Bordeaux. Great alternative to heavier Cabernet Sauvignon. Fully body with a delicate mouth feel.

A very young Bordeaux. It smells better than it tastes: mushroom, earthy, graphite. Nice tannins. A decent organic wine from Bordeaux given the price.
