Mendoza Malbec

It's Malbec. Deep, inky, rich with a fine grained streak of slightly stony minerals and fresh acid.

Deep ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of black plum, black cherry, black olive, toast, cocoa; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors, much jammier than aromas; very rich and fruit forward

Expressive nose of primary aromas, blueberries, cassis, wonderful texture with sweet tannins and length. A delight

Two big names in Argentina are involved in this brand and there is a touch of Cabernet franc.

This Malbec is blended with 8% Cabernet Franc and aged in large oak casts for 12 months. Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, floral and herb spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and ripe cherry with notes of floral citrus, black pepper and subtle oak. Fine round tannins, long elegant finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, oak and herb mineral spice. Nice!

Blended with 10% Cabernet Franc and aged in large oak casts for 15 months. Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and ripe cherry with notes of floral citrus, black pepper and smoky oak. Fine tannins, long elegant finish ending with fruit, oak and mineral spice. Nice!

Vintage 2017 | Warm comforting, plums and red fruit, some chocolate. Very fine bottle that gives a lot of joy.

Lovely. Blueberries, blackberries, hickory, maple, bacon fat, hints of chocolate. Maintains a balanced acidity and fine granular tannins. I love it. Much better than many Napa Cabernets which cost 2x or 3x the price. #malbec #mendoza #argentina

Well this is the subtle smooth side of Malbec. I love the silkiness. Notes are subtle but recognizable - berry and hickory with a slight forest floor earthiness. $20 Canadian, this is a must have! Cheers.
