Aroma of cherry, stone, and sweet chocolate. Starts on a dark fruit note and ends with a pleasant bitter espresso finish. Soft, dusty tannins. Excellent value.

Ink, wet rock and cherries. Solid backbone. Still a bit tight but quite lovely.

Med garnet in color. Very subtle but complex on the nose, lightly smokey/ashy, mushroom, black tea, wet rocky minerality, sea spray, hints of blackberry compote & creme. Jammy fruit on the palate with a light acid profile and soft tannins. Slightly creamy and bitter on the finish.

A great value, but in a bit of a slump at the moment. Would recommend letting this rest awhile before opening. Though I’ve had the ‘16 and ‘12 recently, the twelve seemed dull and halfhearted. Something I would expect to mature and resolve itself with another year or two.
