Cuvée de Ormes Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay

Complexity beyond its price point. Smoky, wet Burgundian earth, lemon oil, pear, hint of butterscotch. In the mouth, it’s not overtly fruity, but features much more of the earthy side, with long, vibrant flavors and excellent acids. I drank it with turkey soup, but this would really shine with poached sole or seared scallops.

Delicious, rich, supple, pear and tangerine.

I’ll take this over most village Meursaults any day. Great nose of wet earth, lemon oil, honeyed pear. Intense flavors and a soft but large-framed texture. Pear fruit filtered through Burgundian stones. Nice acids. Bummer, it’s my last bottle of 14.

Great Bourgogne blanc, med + acid, and developing green apple and quince notes. Always wish I had more !

Very nice bourgogne blanc. On the palate: good acidity and fantastic richness. On the nose: sweet lemon and vanilla. A solid btl, esp. for the price.

Enjoying this fine white with a pasta dish of tagliatelle cream piave speck peas and radicchio. Goes ok on a sore throat too 🤔 which is a very important consideration....
