Tobiano Pinot Noir

On the nose; leaner, ripe fruits of; dark cherries, cherries, plum, blueberries, raspberries, lightly spiced plums, light vanilla, whiff of herbal notes, light dark turned earth and perfume purple florals.

On the palate; dark cherries, cherries, strawberries, floral blueberries, plum, herbal notes, light soft spice, dark rich soils, grainy and powdery minerals. Good round waterfall acidity with a well balanced, polished, elegant finish.

Photos of; landscaping around the property, second year planted Pinot Noir vines (had to replant as pests ate the rootstock) and a retaining wall with a waterfall type pond character.

Black raspberry, minerals, and mushrooms. This is a very nice bottle of wine, a Chilean gem in the world of Pinot.

Delicious.

This is a great little Pinot! Dark cherry plum and smoky sandalwood and rose nose, brimming with licorice, tart cherry, dense and structured goose berries, raspberries, black currants. Typical of cab or merlot; really interesting in this. Plenty of acidity to soothe the savage palate. This isn't clumsy and manhandled, just very focused and flavorful.

For the ridiculously low price; this is a luscious 'sneak peak' at Byron Kosuge's signature extraction and juicy reputation. The story of the Kingston family is a buried treasure, and the 'Tobiano' Pinot Noir (named for the family's favorite horse on the ranch) is a delicious introduction to the gold that Grandpa Kingston could never have imagined, flowing freely from the Casablanca Valley, Chile.

Nice light earthy taste. Flint and minerals are the signature notes of casablanca pinots. Beautifully balanced with berry fruits. Beautiful drinking.
